Day 1: We Need Help

Just like you can't put sunscreen on your own back, there are many things in life we can't do alone. We need the help of others and, more importantly, the help of God. The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 8 that we are not meant to navigate life solo, especially our spiritual walk.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Can you think of a time when you needed help from someone else? How did it make you feel to receive that help?
  2. What are some things that you struggle to do on your own, and how can you invite God into those struggles?

Additional Scripture: Galatians 6:2 – "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ."

Day 2: Trusting the Promise and Process

Paul talks about the battle against sin and how tired he felt. But he also shares the good news that in Jesus, we are set free from this battle. Just like getting a new car that's fully paid for, we have a new life in Christ that is a gift.

  1. Have you ever received a gift that was so amazing, it was hard to believe? How does that compare to the gift of freedom in Christ?
  2. What does it mean to you that there is 'no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus' (Romans 8:1)?
