Anchored in the love and goodness of God

In this message, we dive into the rich theological waters of Romans chapter 8:28-39. Paul guides us through some of the most profound and comforting promises in Scripture, emphasizing how God works all things for the good of those who love Him and how nothing can separate us from His love. This message encourages us to navigate life's challenges by holding onto the guardrails of God's goodness and steadfast love.

Daily Devotions

Day 1: God's Goodness in Hard Times

Scripture: Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Reflection: Sometimes life can be really hard. We might face things that make us sad or scared. But God promises that if we love Him, He can use even the bad stuff for our good. This doesn't mean that everything will be easy, but God is always with us and working things out.

Questions:

  1. Have you ever faced something difficult and later saw something good come out of it?
  2. How can you remind yourself of God’s goodness when things are tough?

Additional Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11

Day 2: Guardrails in Life

Scripture: Romans 8:31 - "If God is for us, who can be against us?"

Reflection: Just like guardrails keep us safe on a bridge, knowing that God is for us can help keep us safe in life. It means that no matter what happens, if we trust in God, He will help us through. Even when people are mean to us or things go wrong, God is on our side.

Questions:

  1. Who are some people that support and help you in your life?
  2. How does knowing that God is always on your side make you feel?
